We're free!

It took some serious begging and the absolute promise that we would go no further than the hotel across the street for the night, but they discharged us. We'll keep an eye on him for the evening, and as long as he looks and is acting fine in the morning, we'll be home before lunch.

WOOO HOOO.

Can I tell you how ridiculously impossible it is to get a 2 year old to lie absolutely still for SIX HOURS post-cath? Or how thrilled I am that we had a nurse who caved into our requests for a wagon to wheel him around in? Or how wonderful the staff was when we snuck into the patient bathroom with a flashlight to entertain Sammy for just a few more minutes?

Do I need to even begin to tell you how happy I am to be in the hotel and to have the cath behind us?

Woo Hoo! Go Sammy!

hugs to you, hubby, and the little man :)

Awesome. I'm so happy that it all went so well. It is amazing how quickly kids recover from these things that are so traumatic for us parents.

So happy to hear the good news!

Shame on me for not being there for you! I checked in on Monday, I guess and there were no updates. Miss Olivia had a stomach bug this week so I've been wrapped up in my own poop (literally and figuratively) and just got a chance to check in on you and you're post Cath!!! EEK.

Well, I'm glad everything went well. My love and prayers and energy are with you and I hope you're all feeling well and coming home soon!!

Hugs...

I am so glad to hear the great report and that all went so well. To funny about the Dr. Someone needs to tell that man about how to speak to an anxious Mom without causing more anxiety! Seriously

I'm a mama! SleepydoodleLittle Samson Daniel was born on February 24th, 2006. Sammy was born with a congenital heart defect called Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS). He underwent his first open heart surgery at 4 days old and his second at 5 months old. He will need another surgery when he's between 2 and 3 years old. His mama and daddy, however, think he's absolutely perfect. You can read all about his birth here, or all about him on his site, baby samson.
