And the car saga continues...
I called the cops, and they came over to file a report. I told them the story, they looked at my car, they looked at her car, and then we went in to talk to her. She wasn't there -- she had gone out with someone else -- so the cops had them call her cellphone. They explained to her that they had reasonable evidence to prove that she hit me --
and again, she denied it. Oh, but it gets WORSE.
She swore up and down that she wasn't parked there at all yesterday. Hello, I KNOW I parked behind her. She parks there EVERY DAY. And the kicker? Another woman who was there said she had parked behind the white minivan, and therefore, she could vouch for the fact that the woman wasn't parked where she parks EVERY DAY.
Now, my question: why would she say to me earlier that she would have known if she had hit me when apparently she wasn't even parked anywhere near me?
Since she won't admit to it, I have no other recourse. It's deal with the damage or shell out the $500 deductible to get it fixed (unless getting it fixed is cheaper, but when someone hit the back of the old car, they estimated something like $1400 worth of damage).
It's not even so much the state of the car but the pathetic pissiness she makes me feel about the world.
Man, I hope her karma eats her for breakfast.
