the saga continues...

And the car saga continues...

I called the cops, and they came over to file a report. I told them the story, they looked at my car, they looked at her car, and then we went in to talk to her. She wasn't there -- she had gone out with someone else -- so the cops had them call her cellphone. They explained to her that they had reasonable evidence to prove that she hit me --

and again, she denied it. Oh, but it gets WORSE.

She swore up and down that she wasn't parked there at all yesterday. Hello, I KNOW I parked behind her. She parks there EVERY DAY. And the kicker? Another woman who was there said she had parked behind the white minivan, and therefore, she could vouch for the fact that the woman wasn't parked where she parks EVERY DAY.

Now, my question: why would she say to me earlier that she would have known if she had hit me when apparently she wasn't even parked anywhere near me?

Since she won't admit to it, I have no other recourse. It's deal with the damage or shell out the $500 deductible to get it fixed (unless getting it fixed is cheaper, but when someone hit the back of the old car, they estimated something like $1400 worth of damage).

It's not even so much the state of the car but the pathetic pissiness she makes me feel about the world.

Man, I hope her karma eats her for breakfast.

You're in luck. I read your post as I was on the phone with Karma. Karma did not have breakfast plans yet, so she is more than happy to oblige with your request. ;)

Life will get better

what. a. bitch.

harrrummph.

I hope that rather than being eaten by karma, it chokes something into her. Like a sense of responsibility for starters. What a bitch!

Just remember that there are many that care about you. And we'd go kick her to the curb, if you said the word.

Those are some pretty stupid karma tactics during the holiday season. I'm so sorry Erika! We just got a new car, too -- and the idea of the same happening to us is just sickening. Go catch some snowflakes for me. We don't get too many of those down here. ;-)

do we need to go pay her a vistit? or put the head of a horse in her bead?? lol! i'm sorry that happened, that really sucks! i'm sure karma will give her a good kick in the a**

kudos to you for filing the report anyway. A lot of people wouldn't have bothered.

I'm curious, what did the cops say after the blatant lying? I mean... I know its only paint but if you have her paint on your car and your paint on her car, at the same height, one would think it's easy to prove it even if she said she was in detroit.

But then again... I'm still foolish enough to give people the benefit of the doubt... obviously, this woman shouldn't have it.

THE NERVE of some people.. ugh.. that is so frustrating! I hope KARMA GETS her good!
Good luck with everything :)

We could harrass her...I mean...I could harrass her.

Oh yes...I could

I'm a mama! SleepydoodleLittle Samson Daniel was born on February 24th, 2006. Sammy was born with a congenital heart defect called Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS). He underwent his first open heart surgery at 4 days old and his second at 5 months old. He will need another surgery when he's between 2 and 3 years old. His mama and daddy, however, think he's absolutely perfect. You can read all about his birth here, or all about him on his site, baby samson.
